The Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN) is an independent, professional, charitable, non-profit making and non-political body whose membership cut across all cadres of qualified health care workers. It was founded at Muna in Makkah in 1989 by a group of Nigerian health professionals performing that year Hajj. The association is being governed by a constitution and adopts as her motto: Health is a Priceless Treasure - "As Sihhat Kanzun Nafiisun"
